Fondation les petits trésors
Couche-Tard is a proud partner of Fondation les petits trésors, supporting its efforts to help children and teens in Quebec with mental health problems. For over 30 years, Fondation les petits trésors in Hôpital Rivière-des-Prairies has been exclusively dedicated to the cause of improving the mental health of Quebec youth. It is estimated that approximately 250,000 children and teens suffer from behavioural problems, difficulty paying attention, autism and other mental disorders, which represents more than one in five children.
Cool Taxi
Available year-round at Couche-Tard stores, prepaid Cool Taxi tickets—available in $5 and $10 denominations—can be used anywhere in Quebec. Redeemable for a taxi ride, these tickets offer peace of mind to the whole family, ensuring youth get home safe and sound. Cool Taxi was created by three fathers of teens who were seriously injured in a car crash caused by a drunken driver in the summer of 2010. Every year nearly 130 young drivers are involved in an accident causing death. That’s why young people should always carry Cool Taxi tickets in their wallets. In 2013, more than 35,000 Cool Taxi rides took place, ensuring some 65,000 customers got home safely.
Quebec Soccer Federation
Couche-Tard is proud to support the Quebec Soccer Federation and to be the official sponsor of the Quebec Elite Soccer League. This partnership allows us to support regional soccer associations throughout the province and increase our presence in local communities. The federation regroups approximately 200,000 players in 18 regional soccer associations in Quebec. By supporting this association, Couche-Tard participates in, among other things, purchasing equipment required for the development of players, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds. This way, we ensure that soccer remains accessible to all Quebec youth, from every walk of life. Soccer brings discipline and the desire to surpass yourself to everyone who plays it, key elements for youth development.
Children's Wish
The Children’s Wish Foundation is a uniquely Canadian charity that helps Canadian children, families and communities by granting the most heartfelt wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Every wish granted creates moments of joy that eases the pain of a child, gives respite to the child’s family, and connects healthcare professionals and communities in that burning wish of hope. Since its beginnings in 1984, the Foundation has granted nearly 25,000 wishes across Canada, 7,500 of which in Québec.
